Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Stage Zero Health! By creating an account, accessing, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you don’t agree with any part of these Terms, please don’t use our services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Stage Zero Health, PBC, a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
1.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Stage Zero Health. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age, you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, you are not prohibited from using our services under any applicable laws, and you will provide accurate and complete information.
1.2 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll notify you of material changes via email or through our platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
Description of Services
Stage Zero Health provides personalized cancer risk assessments and educational recommendations based on your health data. Our services help you understand your cancer risk factors and suggest evidence-based screening schedules.
2.1 What We Provide
Integrated Cancer Risk Score: A personalized assessment based on your health profile. Educational Content: Evidence-based information about cancer prevention. Screening Recommendations: Suggested timelines for various cancer screenings. Risk Factor Analysis: Insights into modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors. Progress Tracking: Tools to monitor your prevention journey.
2.2 What We DON’T Provide
We do not provide medical services. Stage Zero Health does not diagnose cancer or any medical conditions, prescribe treatments or medications, replace consultations with healthcare providers, provide emergency medical services, or offer genetic counseling or testing.
2.3 Accuracy and Limitations
While we strive for accuracy, our risk assessments are based on statistical models and population data and individual results may vary. Our assessments are educational estimates, not medical predictions, depend on the accuracy of information you provide, may not account for all individual risk factors, and should be discussed with your healthcare provider.
Medical Disclaimer and Health Information
Not a substitute for medical care. The information provided by Stage Zero Health is for educational purposes only and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3.1 No Doctor-Patient Relationship
Using Stage Zero Health does not create a doctor-patient relationship. We are a technology platform that provides educational health information, not a medical practice.
3.2 Emergency Situations
If you have a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Stage Zero Health is not designed for urgent or emergency situations. Signs that may require immediate medical attention include but are not limited to unexplained lumps or masses, persistent pain or discomfort, unexplained weight loss, changes in bowel or bladder habits, and unusual bleeding or discharge.
3.3 AI and Technology Limitations
Some features of our service use artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms. These technologies are tools to assist in risk assessment, not diagnostic instruments, may have inherent biases or limitations, require human oversight and interpretation, and should not be the sole basis for health decisions.
3.4 Your Responsibilities
By using our services, you acknowledge that you will consult healthcare providers for medical advice, you will not delay seeking medical care based on our assessments, you understand our limitations as an educational platform, and you will provide accurate health information for assessments.
User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To use Stage Zero Health, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, maintain and update your information as needed, keep your password secure and confidential, notify us immediately of any unauthorized access, and accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We recommend using a strong, unique password, enabling two-factor authentication when available, not sharing your login credentials, and logging out when using shared devices.
4.3 Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, provide false or misleading information, engage in fraudulent activities, or misuse our services or harm other users. We’ll notify you before suspension unless immediate action is required for security reasons.
Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 Free Trial
Three-week free trial. New users receive a 3-week free trial. No payment information is required to start. You can cancel anytime during the trial without any charges.
5.2 Subscription Plans
Monthly plan: $19.99 per month, billed monthly. Annual plan: $199 per year, billed annually, save $40.88 (17% off).
5.3 Billing and Auto-Renewal
After your free trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and renew based on your selected plan. Monthly plans renew every month. Annual plans renew every year. Renewal occurs on the same date as your initial payment. We’ll send reminder emails before renewal.
5.4 Payment Methods
We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards with Visa or Mastercard logos, and digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay).
5.5 Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your subscription anytime. Cancel through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You’ll retain access until the end of your paid period. There are no partial refunds for unused time in a billing period.
5.6 Refund Policy
Thirty-day money-back guarantee. If you’re not satisfied within 30 days of your first payment, contact us for a full refund. This applies only to your first paid subscription period.
5.7 Price Changes
We may adjust prices with 30 days’ notice. Price changes will apply at your next renewal. You can cancel before the change takes effect.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use Stage Zero Health for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm our services, users, or reputation.
6.1 Misuse of Services
You may not use our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, provide false health information or impersonate another person, share your account with others or create multiple accounts, use our services to diagnose or treat others, or resell or commercially exploit our services.
6.2 Interfere with Our Platform
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, use automated tools to scrape or collect data, introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code, overwhelm our servers with excessive requests, or bypass any security or authentication measures.
6.3 Harm Others
You may not harass, threaten, or intimidate other users, collect or store personal data about other users, provide medical advice to other users, or share content that is harmful, offensive, or discriminatory.
Intellectual Property Rights
7.1 Our Content
All content on Stage Zero Health, including text, graphics, logos, algorithms, and software, is owned by Stage Zero Health or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission, use our trademarks or logos without authorization, reverse engineer our algorithms or software, or create derivative works based on our services.
7.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of the health information you provide. By using our services, you grant us a license to use your data to provide our services and calculate risk scores, store and back up your information securely, use anonymized and aggregated data for research and improvement, and share your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
7.3 Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without compensation or attribution.

8.1 Data We Collect
We collect health information you provide for risk assessments, account information and preferences, usage data to improve our services, and technical data for security and performance.
8.2 Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including end-to-end encryption for sensitive data, regular security audits and updates, strict access controls and monitoring, and compliance with healthcare data standards.
8.3 Your Data Rights
You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate information, delete your account and data, export your data in standard formats, and opt out of non-essential data uses.
Limitation of Liability
9.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
Stage Zero Health is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
9.2 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stage Zero Health’s total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or $500.
9.3 No Liability for Certain Damages
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. We are not liable for any health outcomes or decisions you make based on our educational information. Always consult healthcare professionals for medical decisions.
9.4 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Stage Zero Health harmless from any claims arising from your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or any content or information you provide.
Dispute Resolution
10.1 Informal Resolution
We prefer to resolve disputes informally. Before filing any formal proceedings, please contact us at support@stage0.ai to attempt resolution. We’ll work with you in good faith to address your concerns.
10.2 Arbitration Agreement
You have a 30-day opt-out right. You have 30 days from first using our services to opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@stage0.ai with “Arbitration Opt-Out” in the subject line. If we can’t resolve disputes informally, they will be resolved through binding arbitration, except that you may bring claims in small claims court, either party may seek injunctive relief in court, or you opted out within 30 days.
10.3 Arbitration Process
Arbitration will be conducted by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, or via video conference. Each party bears their own attorney fees unless the arbitrator determines otherwise. The arbitrator’s decision is final and binding. Class actions and representative actions are waived.
10.4 Time Limitation
Any claim must be filed within one year after it arises. This limitation applies regardless of any statute of limitations to the contrary.
10.5 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Massachusetts law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
General Provisions
11.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Stage Zero Health.
11.2 Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
11.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision doesn’t waive our right to enforce it later.
11.4 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights to any successor or affiliate.
